getting by with a little help from your friends
I’d like to introduce my new project! It’s an online space where artists can come to work with other artists.
As I work with a friend to create a website specifically for my work, this idea is emerging. I have this vision of a place online, like a chalkboard, where artists come to brainstorm and create works together that they actually make offline. I want to have a constant conversation going, where we show the process of the ideas and how they came to be and how they change. as well as the product like videos and photos.
i like the idea of individuality and collectiveness. like this thing – this system – under which we create always exists even if the players change; and the players should change.
i’d like to have a “profile” where you can learn more about each person who is involved, but not like a facebook. and not for everyone involved. there’d have to be levels like copper, silver, and gold. and the gold level would get a big spotlight. of course they would be key members offline and online. then we could showcase visiting artists or something for certain projects.
i know this idea is still very vague, but I’d like to throw it out there in this raw state to get some feedback.
